I love the first time I get to shoot a family. It's the newness, I guess. Getting to see them interact, and how their family goes together. This family reminded me that I love to capture those interactions between each of them. The connection--that's what I love.
I have stepped back from my photography as my life as taken me in different directions. I haven't stopped, just slowed down. And seeing this shoot--my heart starting pounding a bit, I forgot how much I love it. When I get those candid moments--the open mouth laugh, the slightly blurred shot, the things that remind me that God gave me a gift to be able to do something creative, because art is not my thing, but this is. Maybe I will direct myself back here, because this light, these smiles and this capture in time is what I deeply love.
There is a hidden fairy like forest by the lake. And this gorgeous girl was a blast to shoot there. Finding green in the AZ desert is a dream come true.
I still shoot. I just never post. Here is a recent one I am in love with--because I have one of my girls kind of like this and I will treasure it forever.
Take an oasis in the middle of a desert city, a gorgeous blonde with a beautiful smile and great laugh, add in the right patterns and colors in wardrobe, and don't forget the hat--and you have . . . well . . . this. And it's rad.
